Kittitas County sits just to the west of King (Seattle) and Pierce (Tacoma) counties, and is home to Central Washington University in Ellensburg. Trump won the county by about 15 points, losing the Ellensburg area and a few other precincts along the I-90 corridor in the central part of the county to Kamala Harris. Kittitas and neighboring Chelan counties have seen Democratic gains in recent years, and may be competitive in the coming decade

San Juan County is one of the state's bluest, and sits amongst islands off of the state's northern coast. Harris won the county by 53.5 points, winning no less than by a 30-point margin in all of the county's precincts. The county is connected to the rest of the state by a ferry system, and is also home to a number of protected natural areas

LD 6 sits in western Spokane County, and includes portions of the city of Spokane itself, as well as some suburbs and surrounding rural areas. Trump won the seat by just over 11 points, doing best in the outer portions of the district. Harris won a smattering of precincts in the Spokane proper and the suburbs, but it was nowhere near enough to make the seat competitive. This was the closest district in the Spokane area

Washington LD 18 sits within Clark County in the Vancouver metro. This ancestrally Republican area narrowly favored Kamala Harris in 2024, while also electing a Democratic State Senator. Harris won the seat by about 2.5 points, winning the areas of Lakeshore and Salmon Creek in the south, whereas Trump did best in Cherry Grove and Camas to the north, with Orchards in the east being more competitive

Washington's LD 26 is currently the only district in the State House represented by both parties (since its a 2-member district). This is more impresive consider that this was a seat that Kamala Harris won by just shy of 10 points. Granted, Republicans are stronger downballot in Washington, but given Democrats' flip of a Vancouver area seat in the State Senate, it is surprising that they managed to hold onto a much more unfavorable seat
