Hancock County is home to Bar Harbor, and New England's only National Park, Acadia. Harris won the county by 12 points in 2024, doing best in the park-adjacent and coastal areas, whereas Trump did best further inland. The lone blue precinct in the north of the county is part of a Native reservation. Susan Collins (R) won the county by a plurality in 2020, so the eventual Democratic Senate nominee will need to carry it by at least a few pointsÂ
Lincoln County sits along the state's central coast, and went for Harris by 11.5 points in 2024. The core and coastal areas of the county went the most heavily for Harris, whereas the outskirts broke for Trump. The county was the closest that Susan Collins (R) won with a majority of the vote in 2020, so it is a must-win for the eventual Democratic Senate nominee
