Bergen County is home to many of New York City's suburban communities, and it was much closer than any of the five boroughs. Harris was able to win it in 2024 by 3.5 points, as Trump was able to make major gains with minority voters. There isn't truly a regional divide in the county, with each party being dominant in pockets throughout Bergen's territory
NJ-12 is one of the bluest districts in the state, and is made of portions of Mercer, Middlesex, Somerset, and Union counties. Harris won the district in 2024 by 23.5 points, in large part due to the large minority population within the seat. Trump did best around Old Bridge in eastern Middlesex County
New Jersey's LD 14 is the setting of House, and is a fairly Democratic seat. The district is split between Mercer and Middlesex counties, and went for Harris by 11 points. The seat has a notable Asian-American population, so it saw a decent shift rightwards in 2024. Notably, House's district of work is the most Democratic part of the district
New Jersey's LD 25 sits between Morris and Passaic counties, and is home to Morristown, Dover, and Madison. This went from a narrow Biden-won district in 2020 to a narrowly Trump-won district in 2024. Trump's gains amongst Hispanic voters and depressed Democratic turnout flipped the seat back into his column, and is reflective of Democratic struggles in the state that year
