Coos County is the northernmost county in the state, and is home to the notable cities of Berlin, Gorham, and Pittsburg (Pittsburg being the state's northernmost city). Trump carried it by almost 14 points, winning the vast majority of the county's area, save for the southeast. Republicans have made gains in northern New England in recent years, so this strong win for Trump is not surprising
Merrimack County is one of the more Democratic counties in the state, and home to the state's capital of Concord. Harris won it in 2024 by just over 5 points, with most of her margin coming from Concord, New London, and the southwestern towns, whereas Trump did best in Franklin and the eastern towns
