Washoe County is one of the two competitive parts of the state, and sits along the border with California and Oregon in the northwest of the state. Harris won it by just over a point in 2024, thanks to the major city of Reno and the blue-shifting suburbs outside the city limits like Sun Valley and Sparks. Trump's best areas were the northern rurals and exurbs of Reno

SD 20 is wholly within Clark County, and stretches from the state's southernmost point along the CA/AZ border, to the Utah border in the north. The seat contains parts of the larger cities of North Las Vegas and Henderson, but the largest city wholly within its borders is Mesquite. Trump won the seat by 23 points, with Harris only winning a smattering of precincts, including a few Native-dominant areas
