Litchfield County borders New York and Massachusetts, and is one of the state's reddest. Trump carried it by 8 points, mainly thanks to the southern communities that are now part of the Naguatuck Valley Planning Region. Harris did best in the towns along the border, including Salisbury and Kent

The Naguatuck Valley is one of the most Republican-leaning of the state's new county-equivalents. Centered on Waterbury, this area went for Trump by 7.5 points in 2024. Harris did best in Waterbury, Chesire, and Ansonia, with Trump running up the numbers in most other towns in the region
