Barnstable County sits to the far east of Massachusetts, and forms the state's iconic peninsula of Cape Cod. Kamala Harris won the county by 21 points, doing best further east in the county, even getting over 90% of the vote in Provincetown (home to a large LGBTQ+ community). Trump did best closer to the mainland of the state, winning a few precincts between Bourne and Sandwich
Hampden County is home to Springfield, and sits along the state's southern border, including the city of Southwick that ruins Connecticut's mostly straight northern border. Harris won it by 9 points in 2024, in part due to a large rightward shift of the area's Hispanic and Portuguese populations. The outer parts of the county went much more for Trump, while the central population corridor of Springfield and Holyoke went heavily for Harris
