About Me
I am a 5th year Ph.D. student at the University of Kentucky, specializing in American Politics and Political Institutions. I earned my undergraduate degrees in Political Science (BA) and Sociology (BS) from Northern Kentucky University. My research primarily focuses on redistricting and political/electoral geography, with my dissertation specifically focusing on the functionality of communities of interest (COIs) in the US redistricting process. Some of the projects that I have ongoing include research on parties and coalitions in Spain, abortion ballot referenda coalitions in US states, and pay raise votes in state legislatures. Subjects that I'm interested in exploring more in my academic career include political behavior, political psychology, legislative behavior, race and ethnic politics, environmental politics, and politics of the alcohol industry(s).
