Leavenworth County sits to the north of the Kansas City area, and went for Trump by about 23 points in 2024. The county is home to a federal penitentiary in Leavenworth proper, as well as the city of Lansing to its south. Riley County sits at the far western end of the Kansas Corridor, and voted Presidentially Democratic for the first time in 2020. 2024 turned out to be a repeat performance, with Harris carrying the county by just shy of 2 points. She did best in Manhattan (home to KSU), while Trump did best in the rural communities and on the Fort Riley base
