OR-06 is a seat that stretches from the Portland suburbs, southward to the state capital of Salem, and westward to Polk and Yamhill counties. Harris won the district by just short of 12 points in 2024, with Salem, Beaverton, and Tigard breaking strongly for her. Trump won the rurals in between. The district was new, following Oregon gaining a seat in the 2020 Census, and was drawn to favor Democrats
Lane County is home to Eugene and the University of Oregon, while also uniting parts of the Pacific coast and rural Cascades under one county. Harris won the county by 24 points, drawing most of her votes from Eugene, Springfield, and Florence, and Trump getting most of his from rurals and exurbs of the major cities
Multnomah County is home to the state's largest city of Portland, is among the bluest counties in the state. Harris carried it in 2024 byt just over 64 points, doing best in the city proper. Trump did manage to carry a handful of precincts in the eastern portion of the county, and did best broadly in the more rural and suburban east
Marion County is home to the state's capital of Salem, and went for Trump by 2 points in 2024, after Biden had won the county in 2020. Trump managed to make gains amongst the county's Hispanic population, and winning most of the areas outside of the Salem proper propelled him to victory
Wasco County used to be much more competitive during the Obama years, but since the onset of the Trump era, Republicans have consistently managed narrow wins here. Trump's 2024 run saw him carry Wasco by 6 points, only losing precincts in The Dalles, Chenoweth, and the Native-populous southwest to Kamala Harris
